concrete verb (plural concrete verbs)
- (Slavic grammar) Concrete verb refers to a verbal aspect in verbs of motion that is unidirectional (as opposed to multidirectional), a definitely directed motion, or a single, completed action (instead of a repeated action or series of actions). Concrete verbs may be either imperfective or perfective.
- (concrete) I went to the post office. (and am there now, unidirectional)
- (abstract) I went to the post office. (there and back, multidirectional)
- (concrete) I went to the theater and had an accident. (the event occurred at the theater)
