- Following noun is in the genitive:
- deichnear bhalach - ten boys
- Alternatively, de and the dative are used:
- deichnear de bhalaich - ten boys
- Prepositional pronouns used are those formed from de and aig
- deichnear dhiubh / aca - the ten of them
- Also used on its own:
- Bha deichnear ann. - There were ten.
