Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *drābnā, from Proto-Indo-European *dʰrew- (“to crumble, grind”)[1], with diminutive suffix -icë, shaped similarly to grimcë (“crumb, particle”). Compare Old Church Slavonic дробити (drobiti, “crush, break, rupture, grind”), Gothic 𐌲𐌰𐌳𐍂𐌰𐌱𐌰𐌽 (gadraban, “cut out”).
