Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *and-, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂ndh-o- 'sprout, germ'. Cognate to Ancient Greek ἄνθος (ánthos, “sprout, flower”). A formation with umlaut of the root vowel from plural *andī̆[1].
