Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *tpē-, rebuilt analogically after the original inchoatives, from Proto-Indo-European *tep- (“to be warm”). Cognate to Latin tepeo (“to be lukewarm, tepid”). From a metathesized pre-form ptoh.[1]
