Etymology

From Arabic غَداً‎ (ḡadan, “tomorrow”). Most Arabic dialects have replaced the word with بُكْرة‎ (bukra, “[in the] morning”), but Maghrebi dialects, to which Maltese is closely related, have preserved it.
