Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *gā̆gā̆-(ti-), from Proto-Indo-European *gheh₂-(gheh₂-) 'to yawn, gape'. Cognate to Ancient Greek χάσκω (kháskō, “to yawn, gape”) and Lithuanian gagù (“to cackle”). An onomatopoeic root from gogës-, as a verbal basis for further Albanian verbal formations[1].
