inorganic polymer (plural inorganic polymers)

  1. (inorganic chemistry) Any giant molecule linked by covalent bonds, but having no (or few) carbon atoms in the main molecular backbone.

Usage notes

Carbon fibres, graphite and diamond are, however, considered to be inorganic polymers.
