Etymology 1
From Proto-Albanian *ku ̊, from Proto-Indo-European *kwu- 'who, where'. Cognate to Gothic pronominal element for the formation of indefinite pronouns -hun (-hun). A deictic particle of remote distance. It only occurs in the pronominal system as the first member of a compound.
