According to Section 117 in A magyar helyesírás szabályai, 12. kiadás (’The Rules of Hungarian Orthography, 12th edition’). Budapest: Akadémiai Kiadó, 2015. →ISBN, compound adjectives with a numeral and the name of a unit (as in ’a one-hour walk’ or ’a three-storey building’ in English) are written as one word only if both constituents are single, e.g. egyórás séta (’a one-hour walk’, from egy and órás). (In practice, this rule is sometimes disregarded in informal texts, especially if the elements are fairly long or less common.)

However, if the number or the name of the unit is already a compound word, the resulting adjective will be written as separate words, e.g. tizenegy órás út (’a trip/flight of eleven hours’), from tizen+egy + órás or egy hónapos utazás (’a journey of one month’), from egy + hó+nap(os). Naturally, if both elements are compound, the resulting adjective will be written as separate words: tizenöt kilométeres távolság (’a distance of fifteen kilometers’), from tizen+öt + kilo+méter(es).

For example, the suffixed time units perces, órás, napos, hetes, and éves are single words (’-minute, -hour, -day, -week, -year’), so kétperces, háromórás, négynapos, öthetes, hatéves ([a] ’two-minute, three-hour, four-day, five-week, six-year’ [person or thing]) are written as one word, as long as the attached numeral is a single word. (The names of tens are viewed as single words, e.g. negyvennapos, ötvenéves, hatvanméteres, i.e. ’forty-day, fifty-year[-old], sixty-meter’ as adjectives). At the same time, másodperces, hónapos, évtizedes, évszázados, and évezredes are compound words already so they will be written as separate words when creating compound adjectives, no matter what numeral is added to them.
