shurrë
Albanian
Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *śur-(nā), from Proto-Indo-European *seHur 'to piss, make water'. Cognate to Ancient Greek οὐρέω (ouréō, “to piss”) and Hittite [Term?] (/sēẖur/, “urine”). The hardening of the inlaut may have expressive reasons[1]. A further connection to Germanic *suraz 'sour' and Lithuanian súras (“salty”) is also possible.
