Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *tri/eK-(ś-), of uncertain origin, probably from Proto-Indo-European *tréyes 'three'. Similar formation with degё. Cognate to Ancient Greek τρέχνος (trékhnos) and τέρχνος (térkhnos, “sprout, (young) shoot”)[1].
