Usage notes
- Used only in compound numerals, never alone.
- Not used in front of sadas (“hundredth”), tuhannes (“thousandth”) etc.
- sadas ― hundredth
- sadastuhannesyhdes ― one hundred one thousand first
- miljoonas ― millionth
- kahdestuhannessadas ― two thousand one hundredth
- kaksituhattasadas ― two thousand one hundredth
- Interchangeable with ensimmäinen (“first”) in numerals other than 11th; ensimmäinen is currently more commonly used.
