Etymology

From metatheses of the early Azerbaijani uyxu, uyqu or from an apheresis of Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (uyuχu)[1]; ultimately from Proto-Turkic *ūdï-ku, a deriivation of Proto-Turkic *ūdï- (to sleep).

yuxu (definite accusative yuxunu, plural yuxular)

  2. dream
    Dünən gecə yuxuda nənəmi görmüşdüm. Yaxşı yuxu idi.
    Last night I dreamt of my grandmother. It was a nice dream.
