Sclerosing mesenteritis

I had surgery 5 years ago to remove sclerosing mesenteritis. Can this come back?

If the cysts or tumors (masses) are benign (non-cancerous), the results of surgical removal can be favorable. Local recurrence has been reported.[1]

If you are considering this treatment option, we suggest you discuss the benefits, limitations, and your concerns with your medical team.
