8. The Annunciation |
1. The promise of salvation
After the sin of Adam and Eve, God still love the men, and He wants to solve that situation. He promises humanity can be saved from sin, recovering the gift of grace: men returned to be the sons of God and heirs of the Heaven.
To avoid men could forget the promise made by God, He continue reminding it to Abraham, Moses, Jacob, David and to the prophets. Isaiah announced the birth of Christ five hundred years before it would happened, and that it would be from a virgin: “Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel."(God is with us)". (Is. 7.14). The prophet Micah foretold the Savior would be born in Bethlehem.
