Help on Using This Template

Use the {{InProgress}} template on an article that has recently been created, but is still incomplete and under construction. This will inform editors not to make any intermediary edits until the template is removed, so as to avoid conflicting edits.

Be aware that any editor may remove the template from an article if it has been in place for 7 days after its initial tagging. Sufficiently incomplete articles may be nominated for deletion.

This template differs from the {{inuse}} template, which is used to mark an established article that may be undergoing a significant, potentially long-term edit (e.g. rewrites, heavy reformatting, etc).

Note that the date will automatically be filled when you enter the tag. You do not need to add an additional parameter (i.e. "date=") to the tag.
