Demequina is a genus in the phylum Actinomycetota (Bacteria).[1]
Etymology
The name Demequina derives from:
- New Latin feminine gender noun Demequina, arbitrary name derived from demethylmenaquinone, an unusual quinone found in this organism.[2]
