Erwinia pyrifoliae is a Gram-negative bacterium and a phytopathogen of Asian pear trees (Pyrus pyrifolia), causing necrotic disease.[1] Its type strain is Ep16/96T(=CFBP 4172T =DSM 12163T.[2]
