Microbacterium paraoxydans is a Gram-positive bacterium from the genus of Microbacterium which was first isolated from the fish Nile tilapia in Mexico.[1][3][4][5] This bacterium can cause disease in fish.[3] Microbacterium paraoxydans metabolize (RS)-mandelonitrile to (R)-(-)mandelic acid.[6] Microbacterium paraoxydans is a plant growth-promoting bacteria.[7][8]
