I have worked within the software industry for over thirty years using various development languages, methodologies, operating systems and environments. I enjoy learning new techniques and languages which can be used to enhance solutions.

I am a hard working highly motivated individual who prefers to work within a team or close-knit group although I am comfortable working alone. I am passionate about finding simple solutions to complex problems and relate, communicate well with other people. I deal with customers around Europe, North America, Middle East and Africa and interpreting requirements into end solutions through to delivery.

I have architected many highly complex infrastructure solutions for large telecoms service providers at carrier grade level (10s of millions) of active subscribers. Some of the more challenging solutions were both time critical and highly availability, processing large amounts of data (100s of gigabytes a day). Many of these solutions have been successfully in place for several years and have evolved as customer needs have changed. 

I revel in the challenge of large scale architectures which are performance/revenue critical and have the benefit of extensive experience and knowledge in providing such solutions.
