هي من كوكبات النصف الجنوبي للكرة الأرضية.ويتوضّح رؤيته بدءً من شهر تموز وحتى شهر أيلول.

من نجوم برج الحوت الجنوبي: ألفا الحوت الجنوبي ( نجم فم الحوت).
