As of the 2021 census, Čajle had 1,236 residents with the following ethnic composition:[1]

According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 3070 inhabitants.[2] Ethnic groups in the village include:[2]

According to the 1942 Albanian census, Čajle was inhabited by 929 Muslim Albanians and 241 Serbs.[3]
