History
TenThousand Projects was founded by Elliot Grainge in 2016[2] Elliot Grainge is the son of Lucian Grainge, chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group. Until 2023 distribution was handled by Virgin Music a division of Universal Music Group.[3], this name was later shortened to 10K Projects.
In September 2023, it was announced that 10K Projects (excluding Ice Spice) would move from Universal to Warner Music Group (WMG) with distribution handled by Alternative Distribution Alliance, a division of WMG.[4][5]
