1965 PGA Tour

The 1965 PGA Tour season was played from January 8 to November 28. The season consisted of 40 official money events. Jack Nicklaus won the most tournaments, five, and there were six first-time winners. Jack Nicklaus was the leading money winner with earnings of $140,752. Dave Marr was voted the PGA Player of the Year[1] and Billy Casper won the Vardon Trophy for the lowest scoring average.
