2022–23 Ethiopian Premier League
The 2022-23 Ethiopian Premier League is the top-tier football league in Ethiopia. It is the 76th season of the league, and the 24th season since it was renamed the Premier League. The season started on September 30, 2022, and is scheduled to end on May 20, 2023. The league consists of 16 teams, which are divided into two groups of 8. The teams in each group play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each group at the end of the regular season qualify for the championship playoff, while the bottom two teams in each group are relegated to the Ethiopian Second Division. The first round of matches in the 2022-23 Ethiopian Premier League were held at Bahir Dar Stadium and Dire Dawa Stadium. The second round of matches will be held at Adama, Addis Ababa Stadium, and Hawassa Stadium. The current defending champions are Saint George, who won the 2021-22 season.
