2023–24 Iraq Stars League

The 2023–24 Iraq Stars League will be the 50th season of the highest tier football league in Iraq since its establishment in 1974, and the first season since launching as a professional league under the name Iraq Stars League, governed by the Iraqi Pro League Association. The season will start on 26 October 2023 and will end on 5 July 2024.[1]

Overview

20 teams are competing in the Iraq Stars League: the 18 teams from the 2022–23 Iraqi Premier League, as well as Al-Minaa and Amanat Baghdad who were promoted from the 2022–23 Iraqi Division One and are both returning to the top tier after a one-year absence.[2]

The summer transfer window started on 5 August and ended on 5 October. The winter transfer window dates are yet to be decided.[3]
