2023 Supercoppa Italiana

The 2023 Supercoppa Italiana (branded as the EA Sports FC Supercup for sponsorship reasons) will be the 36th edition of the Supercoppa Italiana, the Italian football super cup. It will be the first edition to feature four teams, an expansion from the previous format of a one-off match between two clubs.[1]

Qualification

The tournament will feature the winners and runners-up of the 2022–23 Serie A and 2022–23 Coppa Italia.[2]

Format

The competition will feature two semi-finals to select the two teams to play in the final. All three matches will be played in a single-leg fixture. Matches will consist of two periods of 45 minutes each. In the case of a tie two periods of extra-time of 15 minutes each will be played, followed if necessary by a penalty shoot-out.
