2024 Houston Roughnecks season

The 2024 Houston Roughnecks season will be the third season for the Houston Roughnecks as a professional American football franchise. They are members of the XFL, and one of eight teams to compete in the league for the 2024 season. The Roughnecks will be led by head coach Wade Phillips.

As of August 2023, the league has not finalized a stadium agreement due to renovations that are set to begin on their home in 2020 and 2023, TDECU Stadium, following the end of the 2023 University of Houston Cougars football season. The league has stated that the Roughnecks will remain in Houston during the renovations, potentially at another stadium in the city.[1]
