2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

The 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be the 30th season of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season will start on February 16 with the Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona International Speedway and will end with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship Race on November 8 at Phoenix Raceway.[1][2]

Chevrolet McAnally-Hilgemann Racing 19 Christian Eckes[3] Charles Denike[3] On October 18, 2023, the team announced that Eckes would return for a second year in the truck and that Charles Denike would return as crew chief.[3]
43 Daniel Dye TBA On August 23, 2023, on the same day that GMS Racing announced that they would be closing down after the 2023 season, Daniel Dye, one of their full-time Truck Series drivers in 2023, confirmed in a statement that he already had a full-time Truck Series ride secured for 2024 with another team, but did not announce which team he would be driving for.[4] On September 27, it was announced that Dye would drive for MHR in 2024 and would continue to use the No. 43.[5]
Niece Motorsports 42 Matt Mills TBA On October 10, 2023, it was announced that Carson Hocevar would move up to the Cup Series full-time in 2024, replacing Ty Dillon in the No. 77 car for Spire Motorsports.[6] On October 12, 2023, it was announced that Mills would drive the No. 42 truck full-time in 2024, replacing Hocevar.[7]
Rev Racing 2 Nick Sanchez TBA On August 8, 2023, Kyle Busch Motorsports owner Kyle Busch stated in an interview that Sanchez would return to the Rev Racing No. 2 truck in 2024. The team had an alliance with KBM before KBM was sold to Spire Motorsports.[8]
Spire Motorsports TBA TBA TBA On September 27, 2023, it was announced that Spire Motorsports would purchase Kyle Busch Motorsports. Spire has yet to announce how many trucks they will field in 2024 and who their drivers will be.[9] Chase Purdy had originally been announced to return to KBM in 2024; it is unclear whether that contract remains intact and if he will drive full-time for Spire in 2024.[8]
Ford Front Row Motorsports 38 TBA TBA On August 9, 2023, FRM stated that they would continue to field the No. 38 truck in 2024 regardless of if Zane Smith is the driver.[10] On September 16, it was announced that Smith would move up to the Cup Series full-time in 2024 driving for Spire Motorsports in an alliance with Trackhouse.[11]
Toyota Tricon Garage 5 Dean Thompson TBA On October 23, 2023, Tricon Garage announced that Thompson would return to their No. 5 truck in 2024. It will be his second year with the team.[12]
11 Corey Heim TBA On October 16, 2023, Tricon Garage announced that Heim would return to their No. 11 truck in 2024. It will be his second year with the team.[13]

All other teams that ran full-time in the Truck Series in 2023 have yet to announce their 2024 plans.

Toyota TBA TBA William Sawalich TBA[16] Sawalich, the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East champion, stated in an interview with Frontstretch that he would run part-time in the Truck Series again in 2024. Although he drove for Tricon Garage in 2023, the team he will drive for in the series in 2024 has yet to be determined.[16]

Drivers

  • On August 30, 2023, Matt DiBenedetto announced that he would not return to the Rackley WAR No. 25 in 2024. He drove that truck full-time in 2022 and 2023. He has yet to determine his 2024 plans although he stated that he is exploring opportunities in all three of NASCAR's national series.[18] After he was eliminated from the 2023 playoffs and had already announced his plans not to return to the team in 2024, Rackley WAR removed DiBenedetto from the No. 25 early.[19]
  • On October 16, 2023, Jake Garcia announced he would not be returning to the McAnally-Hilgemann Racing No. 35 truck in 2024. He did mention in a statement that he did have another ride secured with another team but has yet to announce which team that is.[20]
