Abolfares District

Abolfares District (Persian: بخش ابولفارس) is in Ramhormoz County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bavaj.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as Abolfares Rural District of the Central District), was 6,336 in 1,265 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 6,177 people in 1,403 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 5,610 inhabitants in 1,483 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Abolfares District.[2]
