Aleshtar

Aleshtar (Persian: الشتر, also Romanized as Alashtar and Alishtār; also known as Qal‘eh ‘Alishtār and Qal‘eh Moz̧affari)[3] is a city in the Central District of Selseleh County, Lorestan province, Iran, serving as both capital of the district and of the county. The city is populated by Kurds.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 28,306 in 6,033 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 30,257 people in 7,606 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 33,558 people in 9,294 households.[2]
