Career

Alina Garcia has worked in the public sector for thirty years. She was a Legislative Aide in Tallahassee beginning in 1992. Garcia has worked for Republican leaders such as Jimmy Patronis, Esteban Bovo, the mayor of Hialeah, and Joe Carollo, the commissioner of the city of Miami. When U.S. Senator Marco Rubio was chosen to serve in the Florida House of Representatives in 1999, she was his first legislative assistant.[1]

Garcia is a Roman Catholic.[2]
