Altstätten Stadt railway station

Altstätten Stadt railway station (German: Bahnhof Altstätten Stadt) is a railway station in Altstätten, in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It is the eastern terminus of the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge Altstätten–Gais line and is served by local trains only.

It is located in the center of the town. The railway station Altstätten SG is an intermediate stop on the 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+1⁄2 in) standard gauge Chur–Rorschach line with additional local and long-distance services. The stations are approximately 1.6 kilometres (0.99 mi) apart and linked by bus.
