History

Launched in November 2022, it is available to persons aged 18 to 64, in all 50 states and Washington, DC.[1][2] Customers in 34 states[2] can use messaging to consult a medical clinician about 20 common conditions, such as acne, pink eye, migraine, and erectile dysfunction.[3] Once the consultation is complete, patients have the option of filling any prescriptions through Amazon Pharmacy for home delivery.[4]

From August 1 2023, Amazon Clinic will allow video visits nationwide.[2] Amazon Clinic uses third-party vendors and does not currently accept health insurance, instead charging a flat fee.[1][4] Customers will also be able to see their medical cost before any visit.[2] Privacy advocates have raised concerns about Amazon's potential misuse of customer's medical information.[5]
