Baqerabad Rural District (Jafarabad County)

Baqerabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان باقرآباد) is in the Central District of Jafarabad County, Qom province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Baqerabad,[2] whose population at the National Census of 2016 was 1,739 in 459 households.[3]

Prior to the formation of the rural district, its constituent villages were in Jafarabad Rural District of the former Jafarabad District of Qom County. After the census, the district and Qahan Rural District were separated from the county and divided into the Central and Qahan Districts, the former including the newly formed Baqerabad Rural District, and the latter containing the new Kohandan Rural District. The city of Jafariyeh was proclaimed capital of Jafarabad County.[2]
