Barranca District

Barranca is a district of the Puntarenas canton, in the Puntarenas province of Costa Rica.[1][2]

History

Barranca was created on 20 November 1965 by Ley 3594. Segregated from Puntarenas.[2]

Barranca has an area of 36.07 km²[3] and an elevation of 27 metres.[1]
