Bigg Boss (Hindi season 17)

The eye logo this season marked remarkable exceptions than the previous ones. It was seen with a new orange colour palette, with many doors and windows releasing fire and an orange core acting as pupil.[3]

On 15 September 2023, ColorsTV released a promo video on YouTube and social media, featuring Salman Khan highlighting the three new themes for this season.[4] Dil (Heart; love), Dimaag (Mind; wit) and Dum (Power; fierceness). Then on 23 September 2023, ColorsTV released three videos, each giving glimpses of the three new concepts with Salman Khan announcing the premiere date.[5]

The house of this season was inspired from the streets of Europe.[6] The house was referred as "Bigg Boss ka Muhallah" with the three bedrooms as three different houses aka Makaans. There was no common dining area this season and is incorporated in the respective three bedrooms. Captain's bedroom and jail were absent. The Confession Room was designed in a Greek-Gothic way. The house this season has a total of 110 cameras, the highest among all the seasons.[7]

• Munawar Faruqui – Stand-up comedian, Youtuber and rapper. He is the winner of Lock Upp 1.
• Aishwarya Sharma – Actress. She is best known for her role as Patralekha Salunkhe in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. She is also the 2nd runner-up of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. Neil Bhatt's wife.[9]
• Neil Bhatt – Actor. He is best known for his role as DCP Virat Chavan in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Aishwarya Sharma's husband.[9]
• Navid Sole – Pharmacist and British reality television personality.[10]
• Anurag Dobhal – YouTuber popularly known as The UK07 Rider.[11]
• Sana Raees Khan – Lawyer, known for being involved in the Sheena Bora murder case and Aryan Khan drug case.[12]
• Jigna Vora – Former crime reporter. She was falsely accused in journalist Jyotirmoy Dey's murder under MCOCA.
• Ankita Lokhande Jain – Actress. She is best known for her role of Archana / Ankita in Pavitra Rishta, She also acted in Hindi films like Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Baaghi 3. Vicky Jain's wife.
• Vicky Jain - Businessman, husband of Ankita Lokhande.[13]
• Soniya Bansal – Actress and model.
• Firoza Khan aka Khanzaadi - Rapper and model. She was a contestant on MTV Hustle 2.[14]
• Sunny Arya – YouTuber better known as ‘Tehelka Prank’.[15]
• Rinku Dhawan – Actress. She is best known for her role as Chhaya Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.
• Arun Srikanth Mashettey — YouTuber better known as Achanak Bhayanak Gaming..
• Abhishek Kumar – Television actor. He is best known for his role as Amrik Singh Virk in Udaariyaan.[16]
• Isha Malviya – Television actress. She is best known for her dual role as Jasmine "Jazz" Sandhu Ahluwalia and Harleen Ahluwalia Dhillon in Udaariyaan.[16]

• Samarth Jurel – Television actor. He is best known for his role as Nikhil Kapoor in Udaariyaan.
• Manasvi Mamgai – Actress and model. She won the title of Femina Miss India World 2010 and represented India at Miss World 2010. She is known for her role in her Hindi film debut Action Jackson.

The 3 bedrooms are depicted as 3 different houses resembling Dil, Dimaag and Dum. The bedrooms are:

•   Dil Bedroom (Makaan No. 1): With a separate bathroom and washing area, the beautiful amalgamation of whites and pinks makes the room ideal for couples and making connections. A brand new feature this season, the Therapy Room, is part of this room.

•   Dimaag Bedroom (Makaan No. 2): Shades of red dominate the design of this room accompanied by the larger than life chess pieces which justify the theme. The Archive Room, where some selected housemates would have access to house footage, is another new addition part of this room. Also, the members of this bedroom would be responsible for the conduct of duties in the house (i.e. serve as Captains of the house)

•   Dum Bedroom (Makaan No. 3): With gothic artwork, the room is dominated by black and tests a housemate’s confidence. The room has an exclusive dining area. A telephone, which is referred to as the "Answering Machine", is placed in a black miniature castle in the room.

•   Secret Room: In this room, all of the housemates can share their feelings with the audience.

• ^1 : On First Day First Show, Jigna & Sana were chosen as Captaincy Contenders. Both fought in Verbal Dangal but it resulted in Tie which resulted in no Captain for Week 1.
• ^2 : On Day 2, Housemates had to nominate one housemate for eviction from their Makaan (Bedroom).
• ^3 : On Day 9, Nomination process was conducted in three phases respectively - 1. Dum Housemates had to nominate eight housemates from house. 2. Dil Housemates had to save two housemates from eight nominated by Dum housemates. 3. Dimaag Housemates had to replace three safe housemates with three nominated contestants for eviction.
