Bilozerske

Bilozerske (Ukrainian: Білозе́рське, IPA: [b⁽ʲ⁾iɫoˈzɛrsʲke] ; Russian: Белозёрское) is a city in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. Population: 14,634 (2022 estimate).[1]

History

It was founded in 1913 as a khutir by re-settlers from Melitopol county, Taurida Governorate.

In 1966, the urban-type settlement became a city.[2][3] In 1969, the population of the city was 20.6 thousand people, the basis of the economy was coal mining.[4]

In 1980s the basis of the economy was coal mining and a mineral water plant.[3] In January 1989, the population of the city was 21.1 thousand people[2]

In January 2013 the population was 16,101 people.[5]
