Bolbanabad

Bolbanabad (Persian: بلبان آباد and Kurdish: بلوان ئاوا) also Romanized as Bolbānābād; also known as Bolbolānābād, Būl-e Bandābād, and Būl Bandābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of,Bolbanabad District of Dehgolan County, Kurdistan province, Iran. The city is populated by Kurds.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 3,464 in 899 households, when it was a village in Yeylan-e Jonubi Rural District of the former Yeylan District of Ghorveh County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 3,207 people in 943 households, by which time the district had separated from the county in the establishment of Dehgolan County and the village of Bolbanabad had been elevated to the status of a city.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,193 people in 1,075 households.[2]
