1. Amitabh Bachchan- Bachchan continued his golden run with box office hits like Namak Halaal, Khud Daar and Satte Pe Satta. His other films like Desh Premee and Shakti were average grossers due to high budgets.
2. Dilip Kumar- The veteran star went strength to strength with the top-grossing Vidhaata and Shakti, the latter being his only collaboration with Bachchan.
3. Shammi Kapoor- Raj Kapoor's first brother strengthened his claim as one of the best senior actors with prominent roles in Vidhaata, Prem Rog and Desh Premee.
