Cant del Barça

Cant del Barça (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈkan dəl ˈβaɾsə]; "Barça chant") is the official anthem of FC Barcelona.[1] It was commissioned in 1974 to celebrate the club's 75th anniversary.[1] The lyrics were written by Jaume Picas and Josep Maria Espinàs and the music was composed by Manuel Valls.[1]

The hymn was given its official debut on 27 November 1974 at the Camp Nou before a game between FC Barcelona and East Germany. A 3,500 strong choir was conducted by Oriol Martorell. On 28 November 1998, during the clubs’ centenary, it was performed by Catalan singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat at the end of a festival at the Camp Nou. Since 2008, Cant del Barça has been printed on official Barcelona replica jerseys.

Catalan English

Tot el camp
és un clam
som la gent blau-grana.
Tant se val d’on venim
si del sud o del nord
ara estem d’acord, estem d’acord
una bandera ens agermana.

Blau-grana al vent
un crit valent
tenim un nom
el sap tothom:
Barça, Barça, Barça!

Jugadors
Seguidors
tots units fem força.
Són molts anys plens d’afanys,
són molts gols que hem cridat
i s’ha demostrat, s’ha demostrat,
que mai ningú no ens podrà tòrcer.

Blau-grana al vent
un crit valent
tenim un nom
el sap tothom:
Barça, Barça, Barça!

The whole stadium
cheers loudly
We're the blue and maroon supporters.
No matter where we come from
Be it south or north
Now we all agree, we all agree
One flag unites us all brothers

Blue maroon in the wind
A valiant cry
We have a name
That everyone knows:
Barca, Barca, Barca!

Players
Supporters
United we all are strong.
Many years full of support,
We have cheered many goals
And we have shown, we have shown
That no one can ever break us

Blue maroon in the wind
A valiant cry
We have a name
That everyone knows:
Barca, Barca, Barca!
