Central District (Kuhsorkh County)

The Central District of Kuhsorkh County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان کوهسرخ) is in Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Rivash.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, the region's population (as a part of the former Kuhsorkh District of Kashmar County) was 16,573 in 4,518 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 17,454 people in 5,221 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 17,044 inhabitants in 5,343 households.[2]

Kuhsorkh District was separated from Kashmar County in 2018 to become Kuhsorkh County and divided into two districts and four rural districts, with Rivash as its capital and only city.[3]
