Chenaranshahr

Chenaranshahr (Persian: چناران‌شهر), formerly Chenaran (Persian: چناران‌, also Romanized as Chenārān, Chanārān, and Shenārān)[3] is a city in the Central District of Bojnord County, North Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 3,658 in 856 households, when it was a village in Baba Aman Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,598 people in 1,012 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,380 people in 1,015 households,[2] by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[6]
