Corus Chess Tournament 2001

The Corus Chess Tournament 2001 was the 63rd edition of the Corus Chess Tournament. It was held in Wijk aan Zee in January 2001 and was won for the third consecutive year by Garry Kasparov.[1]

The top nine players in the January ratings list took part, and Kasparov's victory meant he was the first player in the tournament's history to win the title three years in a row.[2]
