The film started shooting in February 2022,[4] and lasted until July 1, 2022, in Tomar, a municipality in the Santarém district of Portugal. In April 2022, Angela Bassett joined the cast, as did Nick Robinson, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, Brooke Carter, Ricky Guillart, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.[5][6]
Release
Damsel was scheduled to be released by Netflix on October 13, 2023.[7] However, the release of the film was postponed with a new release date yet to be set, due to the impact of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in the United States on the film's promotion.[8]
