Fogarty grew up at Lucindale in the southeast of South Australia. He was drafted by Adelaide with its first selection and twelfth overall in the 2017 national draft.[1] He made his debut in the 12 point loss to Essendon at Etihad Stadium in the opening round of the 2018 season.[2]
