Diogo Batista

Diogo Batista de Souza (born 29 August 2003), known as Diogo Batista or just Diogo, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a right back for Coritiba.

In this Portuguese name, the first or maternal family name is Batista and the second or paternal family name is de Souza.

Club career

Born in Pedras de Maria da Cruz, Minas Gerais,[1] Diogo joined Coritiba's youth setup in 2019, aged 16, from PSTC.[2] On 19 December 2022, he signed a new contract with the club.[3]

On 17 February 2023, after being promoted to the main squad, Diogo further extended his contract until the end of 2024.[4] He made his first team – and Série A – debut on 3 July, starting in a 2–1 away win over Goiás.[5][6]
