Echinopepon

Echinopepon is a genus of flowering plants in the family Cucurbitaceae, native to the southwestern United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America.[2] Tendrillate vines, their prickly fruits are operculate, with the prickles themselves being stipitate glandular.[3]
