Club career
She started playing football in school at the Colegio La Salle Legazpi as a striker. Once she started playing for Urola KE, her local team in Zumarraga, she discovered her skill at goalkeeping, and began her career there.[3][4][5] In 2018 she was signed by Real Sociedad and was the starting goalkeeper for their reserve team. She also played with the Spanish under-19 national team.[6] In 2019 she became the substitute goalkeeper of the main team[7] and was part of the squad that won the Queen's Cup. Lete made her debut in the First Division on 30 May 2021 against Santa Teresa.[3]
In February 2023, Real Sociedad announced that it would renew Lete's contract through the 2024–25 season. As goalkeeper she was key to the "txuri-urdin" squad, although Adriana Nanclares kept goal in some matches. In the previous season, which saw Real achieve their first qualification for the Champions League, Lete won the Zamora trophy; she kept a clean sheet in eleven games and conceded an average of 0.6 goals per game.[8]
International play
Lete has played for Spain internationally in the Under 17, Under 19, Under 20 and Under 23 categories.[3]
In 2022, Lete was set to play with Spain women's national under-20 football team, however a leg injury forced her to withdraw from the team.[9]
In 2023 Lete was selected for the Spain national team[10] and made her debut against the Czech Republic, keeping a clean sheet in a 3–0 win; however, she did not make the final selection for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup squad.[11]
